Fatboy headdemock Hammock

luxury-outdoor-furniture Fatboy headdemock Hammock

In 2000 the designer Jukka Setaliste, had introduced Fatboy, a kind of ‘review’ of what we all know as the old and comfortable hammock. Building on the success, here’s the new version becomes larger and comfortable, with more attention to design and the choice, decidedly wide, colors and patterns. Like Cocoon, which we had discussed not long ago, this product requires adequate space without doubt, but you want to bring comfort to rest comfortably cradled by your Hammock?

olar trees, a gamble on renewable energy

The importance of clean energy is increasingly evident in the everyday. How could it be otherwise, the design is no exception to the line that advanced societies are following in order to achieve a sustainable future.
The signing Australian Büro North, in collaboration with the Australian government is contributing to a project that aims to provide schools solar trees that serve both to provide shade for playgrounds.
Revolving panels are adapted to the position of the sun to achieve effectively capture the sun’s rays, while along the structure about leds, green or red depending on the case, will illuminate showing about how much energy is being generated.

I think it is a fantastic idea that should be enhanced in countries such as Spain enjoyed a privileged climate and many hours of sunshine a year. Would need to look north to see in countries like cold and rainy there is a widespread use of the bicycle … it would be desirable for it now and once and for all the batteries for us to innovate and keep track of sustainability.

Satellite dishes Design

The antennas for satellite television are almost part of the urban landscape, we have all grown accustomed to viewing terraces and facades although, truth be told, is not that they are too aesthetic. Sqish is a revolutionary alternative for these disguise antennas, or rather to change the face and passing unnoticed in sight, thus reducing the environmental impact.
At the moment only available in the UK for about 190 euros, although it is very likely that after its success the idea is exported to other countries in Europe and America.
As we see in this picture the difference between the classic and the new antenna is quite visible.

Lampposts design Vesa Honkonen

Vesa Honkonen presented at the Stockholm Design Week of its proposed public lighting, conducted for the Finnish town of Heinola. The lamps are designed as “reading lamps”, as they are in the Plaza of the Library and emit their light downward, hiding those luminaries, and leaving that space is the protagonist. His avant-garde design and print a movement to the scene, in addition to integrate perfectly with the urban architecture. All a genius.

A virtual wall to protect pedestrians.

An amazing virtual barrier laser projected onto the pavement, representing people across the street. Perhaps this is the reality that we see at pedestrian crossings in the near future, imagine?. The laser beams are not powerful enough to cause damage to humans, but the effect does seem sufficient to deter drivers from continuing their march.
The invention has a crumb. Typically, the driver has his sight and his focus on the road. Having this bright screen with pictures on the move “closing” step achieves a total visibility and can achieve the purpose of the cars that stop automatically when you see it … always impose more of a barrier, albeit virtual, that a simple traffic light, which unfortunately a few do not seem far-case basis. However, it would be more some sort of device to alert the authorities when someone passed the wall to hit the figures. Do not forget that could be any of us.

An extra room for your home

Live in big cities today is not a simple task. The prices you pay for small apartments make the normal logic of habitability is trastoque. The solutions to this are not easy, so some are already thinking of ways to win space on the street.

This design is called “Rucksack House”, something like La Casa backpack. It consists of a floating deck welded steel, which is positioned so attached to our facade and is subject through steel cables in the roof, functioning as additional room suspended in the air.

We see it as an experiment midway between art and architecture, with a strong element of necessity turned into protest over the difficulties of urban life. Has some measures 2.50 meters wide, 2.50 high and 3.60 deep, with a total weight of roughly 2 tons. If you need an extra room for your home, this may be an idea to keep in mind, but soon a boat may seem a little crazy in practice and did not know what would be his legal placement.

Matrix, a new concept for drainage systems

On the street, and by normal overall, the drains are usually quite dirty and full of crap. The essential utility of drainage systems is not accompanied by a design that makes them seem attractive.
This has been the case until the designer Honfay Lui it has happened to create Matrix, the first drain context in which it is possible to leave messages, letters and numbers, which can be very interesting depending on the context and situation.
As we see in the picture, you can give information on certain places, like museums, libraries or historical buildings. And all this while maintaining the full functionality of the system.

No Man’s Land: A network of artificial islands to the Dead Sea

The Dead Sea, for all we know, is a water surface hypersaline located in a hostile environment and inhospitable, between Jordan and Israel. This is a endorreico lake, which by definition is one that evaporates all the water it receives from its watershed. As its name suggests, it is almost impossible to find a living (except microbes and humans, that all parties have to go).

Based on this reality, there has been a futuristic architectural design, tourism and environmental aims to build a series of artificial islands in the water. Through advanced technology is designed to capture solar energy (where the sun never fails), freshwater and create a suitable environment for developing tourism, sustainable and non-predator. The most surprising element is that the liquid is drawn from the molecules of water vapor that is in the air.

Defenestration, absurd furniture falling on the vacuum

The city of San Francisco remains an oasis of thought and expression alternative in the United States. Since 1997, in one of its central streets can find us with a real sculptural mural in an abandoned building known as the “Defenestration.” I do not feel wrong saying that would delight of the Salvador Dalí himself.

If we raise our view skyward will see an absurd set of tables, lamps, fans, baths, a watch or a sofa standing hanging on the roof. Pieces that the artist Brian Goggin has acceded to the building and hung precariously, so that they seem to fall into a vacuum.
